In September of last year, the EU directive PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) came into effect. It contains increased security requirements for certain types of online payments as a way to reduce the risk of fraud.
Banks are beginning to enforce this new directive, so we must update your Highland Cabs account to use Stripe's PSD2 compliant card registration. The previously collected card details will be removed and will need to be entered again.
Without this update, banks will begin to decline payment transactions. However, payments for trips that are pre booked using the previously collected card details will, most likely, still be processed, if completed before December 31.
The update will happen first thing on Monday, December 7. You don't need to do anything except be aware that card details will be removed from your passenger account. Should you experience any problems, or have any questions, please contact us on 01847 555555 or visit www.highlandcabs.com/contact during office hours.
Sincere regards,
Highland Cabs.
